italian-born artist maurizio cattelan is considered to be one of the most provocative contemporary artists of our time. His controversial work draws on today’s popular culture, history and organized religion in a profound way, injected by doses of humor, in an attempt to lighten the vehement themes at hand. his cultural critique is expressed through disturbingly hyperrealistic sculptures which reveal contradictions inherently apparent at the core of today’s society.
“Skinemax is Koyaanisqatsi for a generation raised on late night television and B-movie VHS tapes. It’s long form entertainment for short attention spans. An hour long VJ odyssey, it will move your body and warp your mind.
A nostalgic look back at a half remembered childhood growing up in the 80s and early 90s, Skinemax takes a close look at the culture of that era. The images that motivated, delighted, and terrified us on the silver screen, set to propulsive modern music that pines for a simpler time.”
Matt and the boys at Kulte killing it once again. Kulte x Justin Blyth shirt soon, stay tuned.
Check this out if you’re in NY. Daniel is a great dude and an amazing artist. Happy to say I have a few tattoos by the man.

Some books & magazines I’ve been reading:
The Travel Almanac. A cool small format interview/ photo mag from Berlin themed around travel. Good for the road. It was 10 euros and I read it in 30 minutes but high quality all around.

When I was 14 years old, I rode a skateboard and carried a MeanStreak in my back pocket to catch tags. FUCT came into existence at that time in my life. I had to hide my shirts from moms and change after I left the house. Some teachers at my high school made us turn them inside out. Along with a handfull of others, Erik basically invented streetwear.
Photos from FUCT’s 20 Year Visual Exhibition at Union Los Angeles.
All images below from Erik’s SSDD and the Union Blog.
Very stoked to see my album cover for Porter Robinson pop up on the front page of Spotify today. Good album by a talented kid.
This one is a bit late but worth a post regardless. Wes Lang has a show running in Copenhagen til mid November and you should definitely check it out if you’re in the area.
